The Covent Garden Salon
A full rebuild for a London salon that needed to leave WordPress behind, simplify site updates and improve search visibility.

The challenge
The salon had been left with an outdated WordPress site that was costing too much in plugin maintenance and was awkward to manage day to day. After the original developer disappeared, even simple updates like changing pages or adjusting pricing had become a hassle.
The solution
I removed the site from WordPress entirely and rebuilt it as a lightweight static site. The new structure made service pages easier to navigate, simplified ongoing edits and removed the plugin overhead that had been creating cost and maintenance issues. I also fixed the broken links to the online booking system and voucher purchase page so key revenue paths were working properly again.
The result
The finished site loads quickly on all devices, scores 100 out of 100 on PageSpeed for both mobile and desktop, and now ranks strongly in search results. The result is a clearer, more organised website that is cheaper to maintain and far easier for customers to use.
